malta
I had a lovely few days staying with my parents on the island of Malta recently. The apartment they rented had a wonderful terrace with views over to Mellieha Church, where the light changes constantly, making me reach for my rangefinder camera most evenings.
We had a fantastic day in Valletta, which has changed so much since my last visit. It now has wonderful modern squares, restaurants and a stunning outdoor theatre venue.
Valletta has been awarded European Capital of Culture in 2018, so there will be lots more change before then. However for me it will always be a city of churches, balconies and narrow streets hiding secret treasures.
I hope you enjoy this record of my holiday to Malta, more will follow of Gozo in a couple of days.
