fruit of the foundry’s labour

At last I have managed to finish the piece I made at H Downs & Sons foundry and made a plinth to sit it on.

The wood for the plinth came from a fabricating joiners in the village where I live and is a chunk of the old maypole – we have the tallest maypole in Britain!  So sentimental value and a bit of history lives in my studio now. Also gave me the chance to christen my new Canon G10, which performed spectacularly, very impressed with it so far.

The sculpture website is now up and running
