cornwall and the light

A week off in June and in keeping with the most of the nation I decided to holiday in the UK.  My friend – who is also a photographer – has a wonderful holiday cottage in Mullion on The Lizard, and she has talked about the light there on numerous occasions.  I can understand why now, and why so many artists live in that area as it is very special.

Photography is all about light – how to get the best from low light, bright light, working with it’s effect on the subject, etc.  However I found myself trying to capture the light itself, rather than a subject being lit by it…  My evening walks along the cliffs were made longer by stopping every few feet to take photographs!
