mum’s 60th birthday present

Emma pulled off the surprise of Yvonne’s life on Friday evening. A couple of weeks ago all of Yvonne’s children and grandchildren got together (without her knowing) and we had a natural family photoshoot near York. Then Emma brought her Mum to my studio (pretending to take her to a nearby pub for a meal.)

Yvonne’s reaction was priceless, just lovely. She was shocked, happy, and also cried when she saw the images of her gorgeous children and grandchildren.

I have to say it was one of the loveliest portrait viewings I have had, and it was so rewarding to see how happy Emma, Yvonne and her husband were with the results.
